Our mission
At Together, we are dedicated to supporting for neurodivergent professionals (whether self or formally diagnosed) with their mental wellbeing - before they reach crisis point. We offer a variety of resources, including access to private counselling options with bookable appointments, signposting for local mental health services and information on how to seek help. We are committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting a more open and neuroinclusive community.
Why is this needed?
Preventative wellbeing support for neurodivergent staff holds significant value, both for individuals and for the wider workplace. At its core, it's about creating environments where neurodivergent people can thrive.
Neurodivergent individuals—such as those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or other cognitive differences—often face unique challenges in traditional work environments. These can include sensory sensitivities, communication differences, executive functioning difficulties, or the need for structured routines. If these needs go unacknowledged or unsupported, they can lead to chronic stress, burnout, and disengagement, even in roles where the individual is highly capable.
Importantly, this kind of support also signals that neurodivergence is not only accepted but valued. When staff feel seen and supported, they are more likely to be engaged, loyal, and productive. It also encourages disclosure, enabling employers to provide more tailored accommodations without stigma or fear.
From a business perspective, investing in preventative wellbeing for neurodivergent employees helps reduce absenteeism, staff turnover, and costs related to workplace stress or underperformance. It also supports broader diversity, equity, and inclusion goals by acknowledging that a "one-size-fits-all" approach to wellbeing isn't effective.
In short, preventative wellbeing support is both a compassionate and strategic investment—one that promotes long-term sustainability, innovation, and equity in the workplace.
